MAMAS! I found this company @milkbymom and I have to share. 🍼

So backstory, with my first born I didn’t produce hardly any milk at all no matter how hard I tried. But with my second recently I’m happy to report it’s going so well! I’m not an over producer by any means, but as us mamas do, I have worked hard to build up a stash of breastmilk so my baby can have it beyond when I decide to stop.

Pumping is a lot of time and work and my freezer was filling UP, then I found this company @milkbymom that takes breastmilk and freeze dries in into pouch sizes of your choosing. With this I can:

- have easy on the go pouches which I just add water and mix
- travel with no restrictions as it’s not in liquid form
- get my freezer space back
- Improve Taste of the milk by deactivating lipase through the freeze drying process
And MOST importantly to me:
- preserve the nutritional value and life usage of my milk to 3 YEARS!

I just picked up my first batch today and dropped off another batch of milk to be freeze dried at the same time. They have local pickup options in Scottsdale, AZ or safe shipping options as well.

Their process is thorough, safe, and follows strict quality standards. Also, they are HSA/FSA approved and partner with TrueMed to get you a letter of medical necessity.

✨ Don’t let boomer parents or anyone tell you otherwise ✨

I used to stress about this a lot as my child seemed to have massive separation anxiety whenever away from me for .001 seconds.

Several people convinced me that he needed to be socialized and away from me more, and that I was coddling him too much as a stay at home mom.

Then I realized, if he didn’t feel as loved, safe, and happy with me he wouldn’t be displaying so much affection and attachment to me … and that’s not what I want at all.

I want my child to feel all the feels with me and grow up knowing he can come to me for safety, love, comfort, and anything he needs.

And now he is in school part time (which I was terrified how he would do without me) and he is THRIVING. When I pick him up he has a big smile and tells me he is happy and had fun every day.

My heart is at ease, and I hope maybe this message reaches at least one first time mom who is nervous like I was about attachment with their child or how they are developing.

You are not alone, and in fact in my opinion you are doing all the right things if your child is attached to you. Keep it up mamas 🫶

Maybe I’m late to jump on this, but have you checked your local city and nearby city websites for their activities for kids?

I was shocked to find out that city of Scottsdale holds events for kids all categorized by age range, activity type, and dates offered! AND they are cheap!

My son is obsessed with trash trucks and fire engines so we did a VROOM event where he got to go in all the city vehicles like excavators, SWAT vehicle, trash trucks, etc.. and he had the best time.

For fun activities close to home give it a shot! 🫶

I actually am aware of this…

But it’s okay for me to feel tired, or frustrated, or emotionally and physically drained in that moment without that meaning I have some underlying resentment towards my kid.

We are a different generation and our mentality has evolved from those who were parents decades before us.

Things happen in life, and parenting is hard, but I’m making it my mission to create a life for my son that he won’t struggle to heal from as an adult.

Do I want to overly shelter him? No. But do I want him to be able to focus his childhood on having a happy loving household that assists his emotional growth as well as his physical growth? Yes.

Stick to your values, parent the way you feel is right, and help your babes grow to be the confident, great humans they can be. ✨🫶

It’s machine washable (mom-win), super soft and flexible (injury free), and so so much fun for littles of all sizes.

We also taught him to clean up his toys with this. He loves picking up balls that he pushed out and put them back in before we move on to the next activity.
